Cheese & Beer Tasting

7–9pm Wednesday, 18 November 2009

Cheese & Beer Tasting at Welbeck farm ShopIn conjunction with Neal's Yard Dairy there will be a Cheese and Beer Tasting evening at Welbeck Farm Shop.

The combination of cheese and wine is well known. Almost to the point of cliché. However even a few die-hard wine drinkers are coming round to the idea that beer may be a more compatible partner for cheese. For example, nutty, caramel aromas can be found in both aged cheeses and stouts or porters making beer and cheese a harmonious match.

This evening we will be trying out different combinations from refreshing, zesty beers with fresh cheese to syrupy rich barley wine types with blue cheese, taking in cheddars, washed rinds and many others along the way.

Bring a healthy appetite and an open mind and discover some new and interesting flavour combinations.

Tickets cost £20 and can be purchased from the Farm Shop.
